BYD Sime Motors has officially launched the refreshed 2026 BYD SEALION 7 electric SUV family in Malaysia.
The updated BYD Sealion 7 range expands to three distinct configurations—introducing a new, highly accessible Dynamic variant alongside enhanced Premium and Performance models. The 2026 lineup brings higher-capacity batteries, faster DC charging speeds, and longer overall driving ranges to solidify its standing as Malaysia’s top-selling D-Segment Electric SUV.
Built on BYD’s advanced e-Platform 3.0 with structural Blade Battery architecture, all models feature standard 9 airbags, a 15.6-inch rotatable central touchscreen, ventilated front seats, a 58L front trunk (frunk), and a full Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) suite.
1. New Dynamic Variant (RWD) — RM163,800
Positioned as an accessible entry-point, the rear-wheel-drive Dynamic model utilizes a 71.8 kWh Blade Battery powering a single motor that generates 170 kW (228 hp) and 380 Nm of torque.

The flagship dual-motor all-wheel-drive Performance model also adopts the larger 91.39 kWh battery and upgraded 230 kW DC fast charging setup, while adding red brake calipers and larger 20-inch alloy wheels.
- Performance: Dual-motor output delivering a massive 390 kW (523 hp) and 690 Nm of torque, accelerating $0–100\text{ km/h}$ in just 4.5 seconds.
- Range: Up to 600 km (NEDC).
