The Art Of Speed 2026 just wrapped and it was the largest ever.
The 15th Annual Art of Speed Malaysia (AOS 2026) officially concluded its two-day run across 1–2 August 2026 at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park, Serdang (MAEPS). Centered around the expanded “Summer Festival – Kustom Bergaya” concept, the milestone edition brought together thousands of automotive, lifestyle, art, and music enthusiasts from across Malaysia and around the world.
Festivalgoers experienced curated displays of custom cars and motorcycles, high-profile international guest appearances, exclusive diecast conventions, and multi-stage live music performances. There was even a series of Vespa launches at the event.
International Builders, VIP Guests, and Vehicle Highlights
AOS 2026 hosted an extensive line-up of global legends, customizers, and subculture leaders. Prominent international figures in attendance included:
- MOONEYES (Japan): Emi Suganuma, Michihisa “NATQQ” Shinotsuka, and Sohei Murakami.
- Liberty Walk (Japan): Founder Wataru Kato.
- Hot Wheels (USA): Ronald Wong, Lead Product Designer for the Hot Wheels Premium line.
- Hawgholic & Vise Clothing (Japan): Yokomizo Gaku and Yoshiki Okubo.
Key vehicle showpieces on display included a rare 1945 Harley-Davidson Knucklehead brought by Japan’s Hawgholic and a 1966 Harley-Davidson Shovelhead from Vise Clothing. The event grounds also hosted custom vehicle showcases from Taiwan and Bangkok, alongside an official presentation by Liberty Walk (LBWK).
Invitational Bike Build-Off and Award Winners
The Art of Speed Invitational Bike Build-Off saw eight custom builders competing for top honors. Customizer Mujo Joros achieved a double victory with their GPX Gentleman 200, claiming both the Overall Jury Winner award (RM15,000 cash prize) and the Public Choice Winner award (RM5,000 cash prize). The Best of Show Automobile winner earned a trip to attend the 34th Annual MOONEYES Yokohama Hot Rod Custom Show 2026 in Japan.
Hot Wheels Collectors Convention and Show Attractions
Hall C hosted the 4th Official Hot Wheels Collectors Convention Malaysia (HWCCM). Collectors queued for the release of the official convention car: an officially licensed, individually numbered Custom Nissan Skyline GT-R V·Spec II (BNR34) featuring Motul and Yokohama livery.
To celebrate the release, the Malaysia Skyline Owners Group (MSOG) presented a curated showcase of historical Nissan Skyline GT-Rs. Visitors also accessed event-exclusive diecast models from Kyosho × MOONEYES, Tarmac Works × RWB, and Mini GT × Liberty Walk.
SoundCircus Festival and Tourscape @ Selangor
Supported by the Ministry of Communications through MyCreative Ventures under the Concert and Events in Malaysia Incentive (CEMI) program, the SoundCircus Festival (SCF 2026) operated six indoor and outdoor stages across MAEPS.
The musical lineup featured performances by Ella x Cokelat, Jemput Dengar featuring Sheila Majid, Nadin Amizah, Disagree, Johnny Pandora, Hari Slatan, the 20th-anniversary performance by Hujan, and a showcase celebrating 30 years of Asian Hardcore. Concurrently, SoundCircus debuted Asia’s first Flying Fox zipline operating directly above a live concert crowd.
On the tourism front, Tourism Selangor launched Tourscape @ Selangor. Officiated by Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari, the initiative provides “Road Trip Fun Maps” designed to encourage motoring enthusiasts to explore Selangor’s 12 districts.
Planning for the next annual installment is already underway, with Festival Director Asep Ahmad Iskandar reaffirming Art of Speed’s commitment to elevating regional Kustom Kulture and showcasing Malaysia as an international lifestyle hub.
