Kia expands its reach to Kuching with a new 3S Centre.
Kia Sales Malaysia (KSM) has officially opened the Kia Kuching Heng Lian Enterprise Bhd 3S Dealership, expanding its retail and aftersales presence in Sarawak.

The new Kia 3S Centre forms part of KSM’s strategy to strengthen its dealer network in East Malaysia while preparing for an expanding lineup of internal combustion engine (ICE) and electrified vehicles (EV). The launch brings Kia Sales Malaysia’s total network footprint to 26 authorized dealerships nationwide.

Facility Scale and Dealer Investment
Operated by dealer partner Heng Lian Enterprise Berhad—an automotive retail group established in Sarawak in 1984—the Kia 3S dealership represents a RM 1.5 million investment.

Located in Kuching’s business and financial district, the facility is designed to support both sales operations and routine servicing:
- Built-Up Footprint: Spans 4,796 sq. ft., featuring a showroom capable of displaying three vehicles.
- Service Capacity: Features a dedicated workshop with two service bays, equipped to handle up to 260 vehicle service intakes per month.
- Customer Amenities: Outfitted with Kia diagnostic tools, a customer lounge, complimentary Wi-Fi, and a refreshment pantry.

Kia Global Record Performance Context
The Sarawak expansion coincides with Kia Corporation reporting its highest-ever first-half global sales performance.
Between January and June 2026, Kia delivered 1,630,988 vehicles worldwide, eclipsing its previous H1 benchmark set in 2025. Global sales for electrified vehicles (EV and HEV) jumped 60% year-on-year to 296,000 units, pushing Kia’s global market share to 4% for 1H 2026.

In Malaysia, wholesale, retail, and aftersales operations have been directly managed by National Sales Company Kia Sales Malaysia Sdn Bhd since January 2026, while local assembly (CKD) operations continue out of the Kia Malaysia assembly plant in Kulim, Kedah.
