The new CR-V is a huge improvement over the last. There’s a lot to cover, and we’ll get to that in a future post. For now, here’s an at-a-glance look at the key differences between the previous and current CR-V.

Performance-wise, the engine is a lot smaller at 1.5-litres, but the power and power delivery has actually been improved.

The new CR-V is also marginally larger and looks a lot more futuristic thanks in no small part to its LED headlights and LED DRLs.
An interesting change is the rear, which is still distinctly ‘CR-V’, yet completely reinterpreted.

The interior too has improved immensely. There are more USB charging ports (including two high amp ports for rear passengers) and the wood inserts add a touch of class.

And being a CR-V, bootspace is class leading. Note that there’s a powered tailgate with gas struts on some variants of the new model.

Stay tuned for more on this amazing new Japanese crossover SUV.
