NASIM LAUNCHES NEW PUCHONG Peugeot 2S CENTRE

Nasim Sdn Bhd, the official distributor of Peugeot vehicles in Malaysia, will invest RM25 million over the next six months to expand its network strength in the country. Including the RM15 million the company has spent since April on three new outlets, Nasim’s total expenditure to strengthen its network over a 15-month period will amount to RM40 million. “We have been expanding our reach to new markets over the last seven months and will continue to do so well into the second quarter of next year,” said Mr Samson Anand George, COO of Nasim at the launch of the company’s new 2S centre in Puchong. The Nasim Puchong 2S centre is the first of five new outlets to be launched by Nasim over the next six months. The other four will be 3S centres in Kota Kinabalu, Kota Bahru, Melaka and Seremban.

Following the launch of these four outlets, Nasim will have a total of 24 sales outlets and 21 service outlets in the country. The three outlets that were opened prior to the launch of the Nasim Puchong 2S centre include 3S centres in Ampang and Ipoh as well as a sales outlet in Puchong. Apart from expanding the network, Nasim has also been investing in human capital by equipping its after-sales personnel with the latest expertise and skills in accordance to Automobile Peugeot’s standards.

Nasim also utilizes Peugeot’s online competency tools to evaluate and train its technical personnel.

The new Nasim Puchong 2S centre is a full-fledged service and spare parts centre. Among the facilities offered apart from basic servicing needs include wheel alignment and balancing, body and paint services including insurance claims, windscreen replacement and vehicle inspection service. The Nasim Puchong 2S centre is also equipped with two units of the Peugeot Planet System Diagnostics tool which enables the service personnel at the centre to perform full static and dynamic diagnostics on the vehicle’s management system. It also can be utilized to carry out software updates to ensure the vehicle is operating with the latest software. The Nasim Puchong 2S centre currently has four service bays with the capability of handling up to 15 cars a day while there is also an option to add three more service bays. Once added, the Puchong 2S Centre will be able to handle 21 cars a day, making it the second biggest Peugeot service centre in the Klang Valley after the Peugeot Blue Box in Glenmarie, Shah Alam. Samson said the new outlets to be opened were necessary to accommodate an increase in sales for next year.
We are targeting to sell between 7,000 and 8,000 units next year, which will be double of what we have sold for this year. The bulk of the sales will come from the new 207 sedan which will be launched in November as well as other popular models such as the 308 and the 3008,” he said. Meanwhile, as part of its corporate social
responsibility program (CSR) that was launched under its Peugeot 200-Year Anniversary Campaign in July, Nasim today presented Hospis Malaysia with an RM200,000 cheque. SM Nasarudin said RM200,000 was raised by the company through sales of Peugeot vehicles and spare parts during the Peugeot 200-Year Anniversary Campaign. Hospis Malaysia is a charitable organization that offers palliative care to patients suffering from life-limiting illnesses such as cancer, AIDS and neurological disorders who live in the Klang Valley. From a hospice with 44 patients under its care 18 years ago, Hospis Malaysia, now receives a yearly referral of approximately 1,500 patients a year.
