0VW Beetle R Concept Shown at Frankfurt Motor Show
The Beetle R Concept, the first proof that a sporty version of the new car is on its way. We are assuming that the powerful 2.0-liter turbo engine found on the Golf R and Scirocco R and capable to deliver around 265 hp will be used for this Beetle R. The Beetle R comes with a new front bumper with bigger air inlets and daytime running LEDs, new side sills, a new rear spoiler as well as a new rear bumper with integrated air diffuser and 4-pipe exhaust system. The design is completed by the 20-inch Taladega-style wheels, which means identical to those found on the other R models from Volkswagen. The interior also brings all the styling elements seen on the R models, such as a sporty steering wheel, new gear knob, aluminum pedals as well as a new set of Recaro sport buckets. Moreover, the door sills scuff plates get the R logo.
