Mercedes-Benz G55 AMG production comes to an end

Mercedes Benz AG has closed the order books for the G55 AMG as of November 28 2011. This comes as a surprise as at the recent Tokyo Motor Show, Mercedes had the G-Wagon on display as it sells very well in Japan. Mercedes-Benz is getting ready to present a facelift for the G55 AMG, which will arrive in 2012. Mercedes-Benz has yet to open its order books for this model. It also can’t be allowed to purchase the current model too. The strong demand means that there are already owners who have found the vehicles they want.
The current G55 AMG is quite expensive and due to this is not exactly a best seller in some markets. Still, customers bought all the models which will be produced by AMG. For those who didn’t get one, we have good news as AMG is going to offer an even more powerful G65 AMG powered by a V12 engine, priced at around 200,000 euros. So call your parallel importer now and order it if you want one in your garage.
