VW Group on renewed bid for Proton
Volkswagen Group is considering launching a new bid for Malaysia’s Proton as Europe’s largest and most profitable auto maker aims to tap the growing Southeast Asian markets in its quest for global dominance, sources familiar with the matter said last week. No confirmation at this point but the possibility seems real this time with Proton’s new owners in business with Volkswagen Group Malaysia.
