Nissan Sentra For 2013 Pictures And Details
Nissan has just shown its all new Sentra 2013 model for global release. It has also announced that the car features a new platform, a lighter body as well as a new 1.8-liter engine in order to take on the Honda Civic and the Toyota Altis. This Nissan Sentra follows the same design line as the 2013 Almera and features the new signature trapezoid-shaped grille and large wraparound headlights with LED accents. Comparing it to the outgoing model, the 2013 Sentra features a lowered beltline and a new character line that runs from the front fenders, along the sides and ends at the sculpted taillights.
This 2013 Sentra is built on a new platform that contributes to the new model’s 150 pounds weight reduction. Moreover, the car features a 0.6-inch longer wheelbase (106.3 inches) and a 2.3-inch longer overall length (182.1 inches). The interior was also updated and features high quality materials that are not usually found in compact vehicles. Furthermore, the interior comes with soft-touch instrument panel and driver’s door armrest, leather-appointed seating and Maple wood-tone trim. The rear seat legroom of 37.4 inches is among the largest in class.
The 2012 Sentra features a new Dual Zone Automatic Temperature Control (ATC) system for the first time, while other available systems include a 6-speaker AM/FM/CD system with 4.3-inch color display, USB connection for iPod and other compatible devices; and a Bose Premium audio system with eight speakers and an amplifier. Under the hood, we find a 1.8-liter DOHC 4-cylinder engine delivering 130 horsepower and 128 lb-ft of torque. This engine is mated to a new-generation Xtronic CVT (a 6-speed manual is available in the base Sentra S model). More details to come.
