VW Sales Jumps 77% To Be The No.1 European Brand In Malaysia

Volkswagen Malaysia delivered more than 13,000 vehicles in 2012, recording a 77% increase compared to corresponding period in 2011. This follows a healthy growth recorded in 2011 with 7,350 units.
Besides an increase in brand awareness for Volkswagen, the year saw the launch of 11 new models and variants that included the much anticipated 21st century Beetle revealed at the Volkswagen. Das Auto. Show 2012. The company also set foot in the hybrid and diesel segments with the launch of these two different variants of its signature SUV, the Touareg. The brand also expanded its consumer touch points by increasing the number of dealerships to 22 from 12 in 2011, bringing Volkswagen closer to customers in every corner of the country, as the demand for Volkswagen vehicles and services grew rapidly.
