METZELER Tyres VOTED “BEST BRAND” 2013 BY MOTORRAD MAGAZINE READERS
Metzeler, Tyres celebrates 150 years with a vote by the authoritative German magazine Motorrad as best brand 2013 in the tyres category for the 4th time out of the total 8 editions held so far and it received the prestigious award at an official ceremony in Stuttgart. This was the result of a survey conducted of 30,245 voting participants which was promoted among the readers of the German motorcycle magazine. They voted Metzeler as best brand in its category with a majority of almost 65% and a 2 percentage point lead over the second place winner and 18 points above the third.
The recognition joins the numerous awards already received by the Munich based tyre manufacturer during 2012. In addition the sport touring Roadtec Z8 Interact™ tyre, as proof of the excellent work done by Metzeler engineers, was awarded Tyre of the Year last season by the English publication Motorcycle News and best Sport touring tyre for Motorrad and the French magazine Moto Journal.
This important award acknowledges not only the excellent development activities conducted by Metzeler in recent years with category leading products such as the Sportec M5 Interact™, Sportec K3 Interact™, Roadtec Z8 Interact™ and the more recent Tourance Next™ and Karoo 3™ but it also rewards the excellent relationship that the company has always had with motorcycle manufacturers which often choose Metzeler tyres as original equipment for the most important bikes in production, as recently occurred with the new BMW R 1200 GS, equipped with the new Metzeler Tourance Next™ tyres.
