Alfa Romeo SUV Confirmed for 2015
Italian iconic brand Alfa Romeo has confirmed just days ago that a SUV will join their 2015 all new vehicle lineup. The idea of an SUV or crossover in Alfa Romeo’s stable of flowing lines and sleek forms might shock the systems of some, but it’s anything but unexpected. This all new product will carry the name ‘Kamal’ which was used when it was introduced last year as a concept.
As far back as 2008, Alfa boss Luca de Meo considered an SUV important for the brands return to the North American market. With Alfa’s parent company Fiat and Chrysler tie-up, the base engineering for a SUV is much easier especially when it was confirmed that some Jeep models would be built alongside Fiats in the Melfi plant in Italy. With Jeep underpinnings and Alfa Romeo design, an SUV from Alfa might turn out to be a market hit.
