Volkswagen Amarok R-Style…….Slammin’ Pickup
This is the Volkswagen Amarok R-Style, a sporty version of the VW pickup truck that will make its official debut at the 2013 Worthersee Tour. The Tour is a yearly event showcasing everything VW, tuned. Still waiting for its official arrival here in Malaysia, the Amarok will be marketed as a premium pickup truck. The new Amarok R-Style features a new body kit consisting of a new front bumper inspired by the Golf GTI, new side sills, a new rear bumper with integrated air diffuser and exhaust system. Moreover, we have a new set of 22-inch gunmetal wheels wrapped in high performance tires. Compared with the standard Amarok, the R-Style is 60 mm wider and 80 mm lower. Under the hood, there will be a 3.0-liter V6 turbodiesel engine delivering 270hp and 600Nm of torque. Using an 8-speed gearbox, the Amarok R-Style will be able to sprint from 0 to 100km/h in 7.9 seconds.
