GREEN BACK TO DEFEND MRC TITLE In 2013

The new season of the Malaysian Rally Championship is back, kick-starting its first round in Manjung, Perak, during this coming weekend, the 1st and 2nd of June 2013.
China’s Wan Yu Rally Team, in collaboration with GSR Motorsports, will be hitting the gravel with an impressive line-up of drivers in 2013.  Spearheading the team is the skillful and ever-popular Fan Fan, with co-driver Fang Junwei.  Having won the final round of MRC’12 in Bahau, Fan Fan is all geared up and motivated to continue the tempo and win the first round of MRC’13 in his powerful Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X. On board the Wan Yu Rally Team is defending MRC champion, Brian Green, who is back in town to continue his winning streak from the last season, and also to defend his reigning title.  Kiwi Green is navigated by his trusted and experienced co-driver, Fleur Pedersen, using a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X, and is set to put the pressure on this weekend. Former WRC and MRC champion Karamjit Singh will also be driving during this weekend’s rally under the livery of Wan Yu Rally Team.  The “Flying Sikh” is expected to put up a strong performance, and give the other competitors a tough challenge during the two-day event.
Completing the four-car team is Chinese national, Yuan Hao and co-driver Pan Hongyu, driving a Mitsubishi Lancer.  With Round 1 of MRC’13 being his fourth rally stint in Malaysia, Yuan Hao will be looking forward to gaining a better foothold on Malaysian soil, so everyone should be expecting a good show from this driver.
With a formidable line-up of Fan Fan, Brian Green, Karamjit Singh and Yuan Hao, the town of Manjung will be roaring in excitement and adrenaline this weekend, during Round 1 of MRC’13.  Spectators, watch out for a good show!
