Rhys Millen – being crowned ‘Best in the World’ would have to be the biggest.

After nearly 20 years of racing, Rhys Millen has become one of the most respected performance drivers in the world. In November 2008, he won the inaugural Red Bull World Championship in Long Beach, California. In his 500-horsepower, turbocharged Pontiac Solstice GXP, he competed against 32 of the toughest and most successful drifting champions in the world. Rhys not only qualified first but also walked away with the $25,000 top prize in the finals. “I’ve had many fond victories,” he says, “but being crowned ‘Best in the World’ would have to be the biggest.”
To say his schedule is hectic is an understatement. “My schedule is filled with some 200-plus days per year behind the wheel either racing or stunt driving for TV commercials and feature films.” He says the nonstop driving helps keep him “sharp, focused and inch-perfect.”
When he’s not out on the racetrack, he’s stunt-driving for the camera. His list of films includes The Dukes of Hazzard, Fast & Furious 3 and 4, Tokyo Drift, Herbie: Fully Loaded, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, and Red Line: the movie.
