PROTON PREVÉ In A New Reality TV Show

PROTON and Media Prima Berhad has introduced a new reality show called the Prevé Funz Challenge. The reality game show – presented in English and Bahasa Malaysia, will be aired every Saturday from 2 November 2013 on TV3 at 7.30pm, and will run for the duration of eight weeks.

Eight selected teams, comprising of three individuals will battle it out every week to complete challenges and tasks related to PROTON. The team that completes the task with the fastest possible time and most points wins the challenge, while the team that comes in last will be eliminated at the end of each episode. The participating teams stand a chance to win attractive prizes throughout the show, such as cash money, holiday packages and electrical gadgets. The winning team will receive RM15,000 cash, and the chance of a lifetime to visit the LOTUS Factory at Hethel in the United Kingdom and watch a Norwich City FC home game at the Norwich stadium at Carrow Road in Norwich.


According to the Director of Group Marketing, Branding and Motorsports of PROTON, Pn Pat Wahid, the format of the reality game show presented the perfect opportunity to showcase PROTON to viewers and Malaysians. “The Prevé Funz Challenge will not only highlight the unique selling propositions (USP) and capabilities of the Proton Prevé as one of our most technologically-advanced model, but the show will also give Malaysians a unique insider’s view of our facilities as the show was also filmed at various PROTON locations such as the PROTON Centre of Excellence, PROTON Parts Centre and the PROTON Tanjung Malim plant.”

“We selected the Prevé as the ‘star’ of the show as the model represented a new generation of Proton cars, and was created with aspects of safety, performance, comfort, build quality, technology, overall design and convenience in mind for our customers. And with the Prevé’s 5-Star ANCAP (“Australasian New Car Assessment Programme”) safety rating, the Proton Prevé is proof of the improved quality and safety capabilities of our cars,” she added.

The multitude of platforms which we are able to provide in terms of exposure does not just cover airtime, but extends to print, radio and digital.”

Not to be left out, the Malaysian public will also be given the opportunity to be a part of the Prevé Funz Challenge as there will be a Viewers Contest held throughout the airing of the show, with the Grand Prize being a visit to the LOTUS Factory at Hethel in the United Kingdom and the chance to watch a Norwich City FC football match.


“Viewers are invited to visit the Prevé Funz Challenge website at 2 November onwards to enter the Viewers contest. To complete their entry, they will need to collect four (4) codes which will be revealed in selected episodes of the show and enter in the codes, then answer the two (2) questions based on the program, and complete a slogan. Winners will be selected based on the correct codes, correct answers and best slogan,” explained Ms Ooi.
