BMW introduces the new BMW M5 From RM901k
The latest world renowned high-performance sedan from BMW M GmbH is now available in Malaysia from RM901,800.00. The most successful model from BMW M GmBH undergoes a carefully devised revision. It still uses a high-revving 4.4 litre BMW V8 engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology which includes two TwinScroll turbochargers, a single exhaust manifold serving all cylinder banks, High Precision Injection direct injection, VALVETRONIC and Double-VANOS.
The new BMW M5 delivers 560hp and 680Nm of Torque, assuring that drivers will not only enjoy the most powerful, but also the most technologically advanced engine in its category. In combination with the seven-speed M dual-clutch transmission, advanced chassis technology, model-specific suspension technology precisely tuned to the performance curve with racing know-how and the Active M Differential at the rear axle, this high-revving unit guarantees outstanding driving performance. This new BMW M5 is also available with an optional Competition Package for more dynamics to feed some particular sporting ambitions. With the Competition Package, the output of the high-revving V8 engine is raised by 11kW to 423 kW/575hp, shaving 0.1 seconds off the 0 – 100 km/h acceleration time (4.2 sec) and 0.2 seconds off to the 0 – 200 km/h acceleration (12.8 sec). The additional power is particularly noticeable at engine speeds above 6,000 rpm. The enhanced high-performance set-up of the new BMW M5 with the optional Competition Package also has a significant effect on the “Comfort”, “Sport” and “Sport+” modes in its suspension, dampers and stabilisers set-up, making the vehicle more suited to sporty driving. The suspension system in the new BMW M5 is lowered by 10 millimetres, giving the car an even more precise chassis handling and further reduces the body roll in extremely fast corners.
The Competition Package also includes the exclusively styled 20” M Light Alloy wheels with sport exhaust system and black-chrome twin tailpipes which gives an even more satisfying sound. On its chassis system configuration, the M Dynamic Mode of the DSC is even more intensely geared towards sporty handling. Other performance options available in the new BMW M5 are the adjustment to the electronically limited top speed, an M Carbon Ceramic brake system which allows consistent braking performance at maximum load as well as the M Driver’s Package with rear spoiler for an enhanced sporty look.
The new BMW M5 is now available at all BMW dealerships throughout Malaysia. The retail prices (on the road, without insurance) for the new BMW M5 is RM901,800.00 and the New BMW M5 Competition Package is RM986,800.00.
