0Magnum Mk5 Roadster, Open Air Madness
Magnum Cars has unveiled the all-new 2014 MK5 model. We are talking about a two seater roadster with rear wheel drive and a lightweight chassis. According to Magnum Cars, the 2014 MK5 is an alternative for the KTM X-Bow, Ariel Atom, BAC Mono and VUHL 05.
The all-new 2014 Magnum MK5 measures 3.914 mm long, 1.884 mm wide and 1.069 mm tall. Inside the cockpit we see carbon fiber seats and six point seat belts. More than that the customers will get a rear view monitor and camera with a steering wheel covered in water resistant suede.
The heart of the Magnum MK5 is a mid mounted four cylinder engine with 250 horsepower. The motor resources are put to the ground via a six speed sequential gearbox and a limited slip differential. Under these conditions, the 2014 Magnum MK5 can sprint from stand still to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds, while the top speed is clocked at 240 km/h.
According to Magnum Cars, the 2014 MK5 weights only 545 kilograms which means it has a power to weight ratio of 460 HP per ton. On the outside we see some 18 inch ultra light special wheels wrapped in high performance tires. Behind the wheels we see special ventilated discs, while the suspension comes with adjustable pushrod and anti-roll bars. The company says it will produce only 20 units per year.
