0Volvo XC90 2015 Model Interior Teased Ahead Of Launch
Volvo has been working very hard on reinventing itself. The Swedish car brand had once been a manufacturer of rather staid looking but very concious cars based around safety as a priority. Now their direction has changed slightly. Safety is still a primary objective as we have seen in recent reports these past few months. But in the last decade, Volvo began rolling out new models with striking design features and artful interiors. One of the early vehicles in that push was the XC90, but the big Volvo SUV has been in showrooms for way to long and is due for an update.
Much has changed at Volvo since the early 2000s. One thing that has not is the Volvo XC90, which began production in 2002. It has simply soldiered on with minor changes for the past 12 years. A new XC90 is certainly on the way, we just had little to no clue as to what it would look like or when it would arrive. We have now been able to sure up some of that information. Whoever it was at Volvo chose to remain anonymous, taking up the Nom de plume of “Agent Gustafson,” but left this quote:
“Turns out that the all-new Volvo XC90 will have the same interior as the Frankfurt Motor Show Volvo Concept Coupe. You may remember it for its Tesla-inspired center stack that has the large screen. There’s more! It will launch in late 2014 with a premiere at the Los Angeles Auto Show and hit dealers in March 2015.”
Features we like are the massive center touchscreen, and the audio input auxiliary jack that is actually built into the door handle. The interior will not be as concept-car-bright, and it should have a slightly watered down version of this look. More to come and we get it from our sources.
