0Suzuki Provides Pulau Carey Primary School With A Suzuki APV
Suzuki Malaysia Automobile (SMA) equipped a local school with its own set of wheels. The Suzuki APV was donated to Sekolah Kebangsaan Sg. Judah (Asli), a government school for Orang Asli located on Pulau Carey (north of Port Klang), as part of Suzuki’s long term Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program and the brand’s commitment to aiding in the development of a more knowledgeable, dynamic and motivated community.
“Keeping with Suzuki’s DNA ‘Way of Life!’, this on-going initiative encourages the students of SK Sg. Judah to value their education, ultimately provides them with opportunities that will greatly enrich their lives, and now also offers them greater mobility,” stated Mr. Keiichi Suzuki, Managing Director of Suzuki Malaysia Automobile Sdn Bhd.
In tandem with the presentation of the vehicle to the school’s headmaster, En. Abd Rahman Ahmad, Mr. Keiichi Suzuki, Managing Director of Suzuki Malaysia Automobile Sdn Bhd, acknowledged Nur Sahira Natasha, Nurul Atiqah Shafillah, Fatin Hani Zaharah, Muhammad Yusri, Muhammad Norrizzman and Joe bin Yusri for their outstanding UPSR results. Each student was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation and a cash prize that would encourage them to keep up the hard work and simultaneously inspire other students to dedicate themselves to their studies. Mr. Mohd Salleh bin Mohd Kassim, Deputy Director of Selangor State Education Department, was present to witness the ceremony.
Suzuki Malaysia ‘adopted’ SK Sg. Judah in February 2012 and has maintained its aid to the school and its students ever since. In the two years that Suzuki has been collaborating with the school, they have upgraded its IT facilities, provided LED TVs for interactive learning, hosted Buka Puasa events with the teachers, students and their families, given students the exciting experience of escorting players at matches during the AFF Suzuki Cup and presented awards to the best students. The donation of the Suzuki APV is the latest contribution towards bettering the school and broadening its capabilities.
