Toyo & Silverstone Jointly Conduct Tyre Safety Campaign
Toyo Tyre Malaysia and Silverstone Marketing in conjunction with PLUS Highway Authority conducted a Tyre Safety Campaign at the Rest Service Area (RSA) Seremban on January 25 – 26, ahead of the Chinese New Year (CNY) festive season, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility Program.
The 2 day Toyo Tyre Safety Inspection which is in its second year included tyre pressure checks and tyre tread depth checks on motorist’s vehicles heading out of Kuala Lumpur to their hometowns down south.
Mr Kimiaki Hideshima, Toyo executive corporate planner, marketing & sales said “Proper inflation pressure is essential to help reduce fuel consumption and maintain maximum tyre performance. An under inflated tyre will not be able to perform at their optimum level and can result in uncomfortable and unsafe drive“.
He, however, recommended that motorists check their vehicle’s tyres at least once a month in order to obtain even tread wear apart from the comfort and safety aspects.
