Lotus Exige S Roadster Arrives In Klang Valley From RM452,030.
The Lotus Exige S Roadster has just arrived in Malaysia at a price that is in easy reach for many track and tarmac drive enthusiasts. This Lotus roadster combines its coupé twin’s mesmerizing speed, torque and handling with an open air experience that makes the driver feel all the more at one with the road. It’s the first time an Exige model has been offered with a factory-fitted soft top roof, one which is typically lightweight and easy to put up and take down. In true Lotus fashion the finely tuned suspension delivers a responsive ride and sublimely agile handling, whilst the supercharged 3.5 V6 engine (from Toyota) with race-derived technologies delivers stunning performance on tarmac and also on track.
Reaching 100km/h from standing in just 4 seconds (0 – 60 mph in 3.8 seconds) and a 0 – 160km/h (0 – 100 mph) in just 8.5 seconds this lighweight roadster packs a punch both on and off the track. With massive AP Racing four-piston brakes all round, sticky Pirelli P-Zero Corsa tyres on 17-inch front alloys and wider 18-inch rear alloys, this Lotus ensures a track day smile every time you get behind the wheel and the razor sharp unassisted steering and a multi-mode chassis system enhances the driving experience.
Apart from the removable fabric roof, the roadster is a little more restrained in its appearance as it doesn’t feature the Coupe’s racer-style rear wing, carbon fibre front splitter and has colour-matched air intakes in its flanks.
The suspension has also been tweaked with less aggressive camber and a thicker rear anti-roll bar, both of which contribute to a more progressive breakaway of traction when pushed hard. The cabin of the Exige S Roadster is a real sports car cabin.
