Shell Helix, the leading passenger car motor oil brand in Malaysia, feted 800 of its top performing trade partners at the inaugural 2014 Shell Helix National Trade Dinner at Genting Highlands recently.

The dinner was held to celebrate a hugely successful 2013 that saw Shell retaining its position as the number one lubricants supplier in the world (according to a report by international research house, Kline & Company) for the seventh consecutive year.

The Malaysian market was one of the major contributors to the achievement.  It was a vibrant year which saw the Shell Helix ‘Can You Handle the Extremes?’ global promotion roadshow generating a high level of brand awareness and sales and the consumer contest, which sent five lucky Grand Prize winners to South Africa, garnering a record number of entries. The fun-filled 2014 Shell Helix National Trade Dinner culminated in a lucky draw and Mr Lim Keng Yau of Pusat Servis Auto Wei at Masjid Tanah, Melaka, capped a memorable night out by driving home a brand new A4 1.8T luxury sedan.

According to Ms Chia Uen Li, Cluster General Manager, Shell Lubricants South East Asia-South, the company’s key to success was its ability to leverage on its technology leadership and partnership with Ferrari to develop innovative products and technologies for the race track that could be transferred to the road.
