TOYOTA MOTOR Launches New 3S Centre in Kulai, Johor

UMW Toyota Motor has unveiled its latest full-fledge comprehensive 3S (sales, service and spare-parts) in Kulai to cater for the increasing number of Toyota vehicles in the Southern Region.

The official opening event of the company’s latest 3S center was held at Bandar Indahpura, Kulai, Johor.  Officiating the event was YBhg. Tan Sri Asmat Kamaludin, Chairman, UMW Toyota Motor and witnessed by YBhg. Datuk Takashi Hibi, Deputy Chairman, UMW Toyota Motor and Y.Bhg Datuk Ismet Suki, President of UMW Toyota Motor.

The new Toyota Kulai 3S center is considered as UMW Toyota Motor premier 3S facility in the state of Johor and set to provide better facilities for customers, all under one roof. The company has spent close to RM15 million on this facility in order to deliver its brand promise and the Toyota Quality Experience to customers.

The 3S centre, featuring on a 2.3 acres land, has a total built up area of more than 50,000 square feet. It is equipped with a spacious showroom that can display up to 5 cars, service centre that can service up to 75 vehicles daily and a comfortable customer waiting lounge with Wifi internet facilities.

Speaking at the ceremony, Datuk Ismet Suki, President of UMW Toyota Motor highlighted that UMW Toyota Motor is focused in providing the Toyota Quality Experience (TQE) to customers at every point of contact.

“Befitting our “Customer First” philosophy, we always strive to give our customers the utmost priority. We are committed to deliver high quality products and provide excellent service in our effort to meet our customer satisfaction and reaffirm our position as the top selling non-national brand in the country for more than two decades,” Datuk Ismet said.

UMW Toyota Motor currently has extensive network of 97 sales and after sales outlets including dealers, throughout the nation to meet the increasing number of Toyota vehicles in the country

“Looking back, 2013 was a challenging year for us. We closed the year with total sales of 92,500 units against the target and a market share of slightly over 14%. Hence, we still maintained as the leader in the non-national segment for the 24th consecutive year. In the Southern region, last year we have sold more than 16,000 vehicles of which 75% are from Johor with more than 12,000 units sold”, said Datuk Ismet Suki.

Datuk Ismet Suki also added that the after sales have recorded a successful growth, with more than 218,000 vehicles serviced (CPUS) last year in the Southern region and 70% of the volume is from Johor which is an additional 7% growth. These figures signify that UMW Toyota Motor’s service has won the trust of their customers in meeting their expectations.

“UMW Toyota Motor strongly believes that the automotive industry will continue to grow. We will strengthen our operations to meet our sales target of more than 100,000 units for Toyota and Lexus vehicles in order to achieve market share of more than 15%.  In the area of after sales, we will continue to attain more than 1.25 million CPUS,” Datuk Ismet Suki said in closing.
