Subaru All-Wheel Drive Challenge Proves A Point

Aficionados of SUVs were able to explore their vehicles at the first ever All-Wheel Drive (AWD) Challenge in Malaysia! Organised by Motor Image Malaysia, all of last weekend, (11 to 13 April 2014) at Desa ParkCity, Bandar Menjalara, Kepong in Kuala Lumpur.

The Subaru AWD Challenge was specially designed for drivers to feel the Subaru difference with its Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, the brand’s unique combination of Subaru’s All-Wheel Drive and Boxer Engine that results in performance with safety, giving more joy and security in everyday driving. The challenge will give drivers of vehicles of any car make with All-Wheel or 4-Wheel Drive capabilities a chance to put their vehicles and driving skills to the test through a range of activities meant to simulate various road conditions. Participants had the opportunity to experience the best of their very own SUVs in tough driving situations.

Participants in the challenge were put up against 4 obstacles which are the Cross Roller, Slip-roller, Roller Conveyor and Side Ramp. Combined, these obstacles mimic off-road slippery, muddy and hilly conditions respectively.

Apart from the challenge, visitors and participants are also given the opportunity to check out Subaru’s model line-up featuring the Subaru XV, Forester 2.0XT, Legacy GT, and the Subaru XV Crosstrek.
