Canon EF interchangeable lens achieves 100 million units

Canon announced that on April 22, Canon achieved production of one hundred million of its EF lens (interchangeable lens for the EOS series). As an interchangeable lens, EF lens for the EOS series became the most manufactured camera lens in the world. Canon started manufacturing the EF lens in 1987. The 100 millionth model that was manufactured was the “EF 200-400mm f/4L IS USM Extender 1.4x”.
