Mitsubishi Mirage Manages Male and Female Desires
When you need to describe the all new Mitsubishi Mirage to a person that has not had a chance to notice it on the road, one has to think, ‘evergreen’ and ‘functional’. It is clearly a Japanese design, quirky in a way with plenty of character. It is a thoughtful design as it will not grow old quickly and it will challenge the force of wind when driven with spirit on the open highway.
Many will say that women will drawn more to its looks…..we agree, but then the male species will find its design ‘calling’ them to tweak it with body styling kits and wide alloy wheels as we have seen dozens already on our city streets. Owners can individualise their Mirage with an Aero Package (RM1,999.90), Chrome Package (RM750.00), Ralliart fuel lid cover (RM150.00) and smart fit leather seats (RM1,500.00), or a combination of all the above.
It is a fun hatchback with a sporty nature thrown in for good measure and with impressive safety standards. This Mirage received a 4-star safety rating from Euro NCAP after conducting crash tests. The received 90% for adult occupant protection, 72% for child occupant protection, 73% for pedestrian protection and 55% for safety assist. The reason the car didn’t get a 5-star rating is because it didn’t meet the 65% minimum for safety assist.
You cannot get away from the fact that it is a unique design and you will never be confused for anything else on the road, that’s for sure. Ultimately the Mirage could end up becoming a pop culture icon. It’s cutesy Japanese looks stand out among the ‘European’ influence that seems to have invaded almost every element of modern car design and though I reckon some aspects could be altered to good effect, this design could provide more benefits for Mitsubishi as they look towards more eco-friendly cars to increase their product portfolio.
