Patrick Dempsey Confirms Le Mans Participation
Patrick Dempsey the actor is also a race enthusiast. After filming the “Patrick Dempsey: Racing Le Mans” mini-series, the actor announced that he will reunite with Joe Foster and Patrick Long for the 82nd edition of the world’s oldest sports car race this June 14–15. On the top of all that, the movie star is a really nice person, being involved in a lot of philantropy actions.
When he is not busy filming documentaries like “Racing Le Mans” he is very dedicated to helping people that are fighting cancer. One of the movies he produced is The Peloton Film, a documentary that follows 39 riders, 2,500 miles (4,300 km), from Calgary Alberta to Lewiston Maine in just 10 days.
The 48-year old Hollywood actor is one of the sex-symbols housewife crave for while watching the ABC soap being one of the most talented actors out there. And when he is not acting all McDreamy in Grey’s Anatomy nor playing in blockbusters like 2011’s Transformers: Dark of the Moon, this fellow right here is crazy about cars.
Dempsey has competed in prestigious pro-am events such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Rolex 24 at Daytona sports car race and Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 off-road race. In fact, Dempsey admitted he would switch his acting career with racing if he could, and would dedicate himself full-time to motor sports. This year he will be returning in the LM GTE Am class with Dempsey Racing-Proton for the second-consecutive year in a new Porsche 911 RSR.
