Proton Jaguar Collaboration Update
It seems that Malaysian car manufacturer, Proton is working with Indian owned, Jaguar for a ‘new’ ‘D’ segment sedan not just for the Malaysian domestic market. The emphasis seems to be more for export and the first market to get this new collaboration luxury sedan will not be Malaysia and instead it will be China. Proton already has strong ties in China with rebadged Proton cars selling for some years as well as Lotus sport cars (mainly the Elise). This new ProtonJaguar rebadged luxury sedan will also see sales in neighbouring countries.
More information to come as the initial signing ceremony between the two car manufacturers is just weeks away.
