The Suzuki Mega Roadshow concluded with a bang today as lucky draw winners were announced during a private function at Baci Italian Café, Citta Mall.

Held from December 2013 to March 2014 in sixteen locations across the country (Kuala Lumpur, Sungai Petani, Kuching, Kota Kinabalu, Penang, Melaka, Johor Bahru, Kuala Terengganu, Sibu, Kota Bahru, Kuantan, Ipoh, Alor Setar, Labuan and Shah Alam), the Suzuki Mega Roadshow offered the Malaysian public a hands-on experience of its most exciting models which are currently on sale, with cash rebates of up to RM15,000 offered to those who purchase Suzuki cars during the roadshow.

The first 500 customers who successfully registered their Suzuki Swift during this period were entitled to a lucky draw, with four winners being chosen at random by the management of Suzuki Malaysia Automobile (SMA) under the watchful eye of two auditors from the DRB Hicom Group.

Of the many new Swift owners who were in the running to win, it was Syahrida Binti Deha, a 36-year-old clerk from Alor Setar who came up tops in the end. As the first prize winner, she took home an 8D6N all-expense paid trip to Japan for two. “I’m absolutely thrilled as this will be my first time in Japan with my husband,” exclaimed an excited Syahrida.

“We surveyed the Suzuki Swift for about two years before deciding on purchasing it during the Suzuki Mega Roadshow. Obviously, our choice has paid off! The car has been performing well above expectations and I’m very satisfied with it,” she added.

Abdul Aziz bin Haji Jantan of Kuantan came in second in the draw, followed by Ong So Tiap of Bachok, Kelantan and Lim Poh Chin of Penang.

Abdul Aziz, a 59-year-old Director of Surveyor won a 60-inch LED TV and home theatre – the perfect complement to his new ride. Ong, a 45-year-old Nurse Instructor and Lim, a 25-year-old Quality Engineer were equally big winners. They took home a RM10,000 ASB/ASN savings account and RM5,000 worth of Parkson shopping vouchers respectively.

Present at the event to hand out the prizes to the lucky winners was Mr. Keiichi Suzuki, Managing Director of Suzuki Malaysia Automobile Sdn Bhd. “The response we got from the Suzuki Mega Roadshow was overwhelming and the lucky draw is just a way for us to give back to our customers. It’s our way of saying thank you for trusting our product. We are dedicated to delivering an enjoyable ownership experience to the new Suzuki Swift owners who registered their vehicle during this roadshow, as well as to existing and future customers too” said Mr. Keiichi.

Following the public’s positive reception of the recently concluded Suzuki Mega Roadshow, Suzuki Malaysia Automobile has introduced the Suzuki Super Deals campaign which runs from now until August 2014. As part of the promotion, customers who purchase a new Suzuki Swift can choose between a RM4,000 cash rebate, free insurance for one year or two years of free service (terms and conditions apply). Promotions on other models are also available and more details can be obtained from all authorised Suzuki showrooms nationwide.

The Suzuki Swift, one of the stars of the Suzuki Mega Roadshow and current highlight of the Suzuki Super Deals, is the Japanese brand’s best-selling model. It was named the Autocar Asean Car of The Year 2013 under the Supermini/ Small Sedan category while the more performance-inclined Swift Sport took the win in the Small Sports/Performance car category. The Swift is also touted as the “Best Local Assembled Compact Car” by Asian Auto Allianz Industry Awards 2013 and Swift Sport as the “Best Value for Money Sports Car” in 2014.
