Volvo New 2S Representative in Sarawak

Volvo Car Malaysia has appointed Greatwall Group of Companies as its first service representative in Sarawak, at a signing ceremony. This agreement will see Volvo Car Malaysia extending its service network into Sarawak with two 2S (Service and Spare Parts) centres located in Sibu and Kuching respectively.

“The appointment of Greatwall Group of Companies as our authorised service representative is an important first-step for us to better service our customers in Sarawak,” said Keith Schäfer, Managing Director of Volvo Car Malaysia.

“This partnership holds true to Volvo’s philosophy of “Designed Around You” which emphasises a holistic experience for our customers, from the design, performance, and safety systems in our cars, to the quality of service that we provide,” Schäfer emphasised.

Headed by its Managing Director, Toh Chee Wui, Greatwall Group of Companies is a veteran of the automotive services industry in Sarawak and currently holds an expansive network of service centres throughout the state.

“The signing demonstrates good faith by Volvo Car Malaysia in our ability to ensure that level of service and customer satisfaction espoused by the brand is met,” said Toh.

“We hope that this relationship continues to grow as Volvo Car Malaysia expands its presence here, in Sarawak,” adds Toh.

Sarawak represents a big potential for the company and the partnership will spearhead Volvo Car Malaysia’s ambitions into the state which may see Greatwall Group of Companies becoming an authorised sales representative for Sarawak. Volvo Car Malaysia has nine service locations throughout Malaysia which includes Pulau Pinang, Perak, Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Melaka, Johor, Sabah, and Labuan. Since the launch of the V40 and V40 Cross Country in the middle of last year, Volvo Car Malaysia has been actively improving its service offerings in Malaysia which included a revamp of its service module.

With the expansion of its service offerings together with the launch of the V40, V40 Cross Country, and the new XC60 T5, powered by the Drive-E engine, Volvo Car Malaysia has received a fairly positive market response with year-to-date sales in July, 2014, recording a 29 per cent growth from last year.
