Chevy Spark Sales Go Past 1 Million Units
Chevrolet managed to sell over 1 million Spark and Beat vehicles around the world. The first Chevrolet Spark model went on sale as the Chevrolet Beat in India in late 2009 and today, the small vehicle is available in 71 markets around the world. The Chevy Spark is a best seller in South Korea, followed by the United States and Mexico.
The Chevy Spark has also earned the IIHS Top Safety Pick Award for its segment and it is the first car in its segment to also offer the Siti Eyes Free system which enables drivers to pair their iPhones running iOS 6 or later with the vehicle.
“Our small cars, Spark, Sonic and Cruze attract more new car buyers to Chevrolet than any other vehicles in the lineup, with more than 60% of buyers never owning a Chevy before,” said Alan Batey, executive vice president of Global Chevrolet.
