TNT Malaysia launches fourth annual Charity Hunt

A.	Enthusiastic TNT Charity Hunters all ready to kick off the TNT Charity Hunt 2013.

TNT Malaysia, the global express service provider, has just announced its fourth annual Charity Hunt 2014 – a fun and thrilling drive around town, hunting and solving mind-boggling clues in the name of charity.

Proceeds from Charity Hunt 2014 will be channelled to the needs of more than 100 children from Shelter Home for Children, the Children’s Protection Society Penang and Community at Heart for the urban poor at Pangsapuri Enggang, Puchong.

“As the ‘People Network’, we believe that we hold the power to give back to society through the right connections that we have. The RM60,000 funds raised last year have been nothing less than inspiring to see how it has contributed to the growth and development of children in the different homes over the year. Inadvertently, we are really excited to see how far we would be able to push our boundaries this year in raising the bar,” said Ngoh Siaw Ling, Human Resources Director of TNT Malaysia.

Commenting on this year’s charity cause of focus, Ngoh said, “According to UNICEF, about 40 per cent of children under the age of 15 in Malaysia live in poverty, and many of whom have been robbed the access to a proper education as parents cannot afford school fees, transportation and the ancillary costs. It is a very unfortunate fact, as children are the key to our future, deserving every right to a proper education. As such, this year TNT Malaysia aims to channel efforts, funds, and resources to provide these children with the right passageway to receive proper education, through sponsoring school bus fares, school meals, tuition fees, school uniforms, school shoes, and bags to name the least.”

To date, TNT Malaysia has connected with hundreds of families, clocking in more than 20,000 hours in CSR efforts since its inception in 2012.

“At TNT Malaysia, we are a firm believer in leaving a positive impact. Our annual Charity Hunt is a great platform for us to extend our CSR initiative to organisations as well as the public, creating a network of people to raise awareness and contribute to a common cause through fun and games,” added Ngo.

Joining forces with TNT for a good cause are the following partners: Nikon Malaysia, Brem Mall, Kenny Rogers ROASTERS and Perfect Fit.
