Mercedes-Benz C450 AMG Sport Launched
Just yesterday we posted news about the base model C-Class being planned for launched. Today though, Mercedes-Benz has revealed the prices of the latest C450 AMG Sport, which sits a bit higher up the hierarchy. C450 AMG Sport starts at just under 60,000 euros and for a 1500 more it can be had in its wagon variation. This sport-oriented version comes with only a one gearbox option, the 7 speed automatic, which is paired to Mercedes’ 4MATIC all-wheel drive system.
18-inch alloy rims come as standard with 360mm ventilated steel discs at the front and slightly smaller 320mm ones at the rear. Given the pricing and spec sheet, it’s clear that this model falls somewhere between the standard C-Class car and the top-of-the-line C63 though it does share some of the C63’s goodies, such as the adjustable dampers, front pull rods, sprints and front axle carrier.
The C450 AMG Sports was first revealed in Detroit earlier this year, where it was said to come with a 3 litre turbocharged V6 that delivered 367 hp and 517 Nm of torque. This gives the car a 0-100 km/h time of between 4.9 to 5 seconds depending on which model is being used. As one might have guessed, the car will come with an electronically-limited top speed of 250km/h.
Mercedes will begin taking orders for the car in less than a day, with deliveries expected to be made by June.
