0Ferrari South East Asia Grand Tour Kicks Off in Malaysia
The Ferrari South East Asia Grand Tour took off to a great start today, with day one consisting of a drive up from the Southernmost tip of Asia to the city of Kuala Lumpur. Members of Ferrari Owners Clubs from three of ASEAN’s most developed countries, namely Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia, have come together for this 6 day excursion across the country.
The tour will see members partake in a Golf Tournament, a casino night, theme parties and perhaps most exciting of all, a track day with Corso Pilota at the Sepang Circuit.
According to Dieter Knechtel, the Managing Director of Ferrari Far East, “Ferrari cars are a reflection of great passion and emotion. Those who are attracted to own a Ferrari are individuals who have the courage to dream with a strong dedication, spirit, and love to make it come true. We are happy to know that Ferrari owners in Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia have and share the same passion towards Ferrari.”
The South East Asian region is a significant one for the world renown supercar brand and it’s clear that Ferrari want to foster a feeling of togetherness between its valued customers, who not only share close regional ties, but also a passion for the culture behind the proud prancing horse brand . “The three countries play important roles for Ferrari and because of this, we expect this milestone event to further strengthen the relations between Ferrari owners in Southeast Asia,” said Ferrari Far East managing director Dieter Knechtel.
The Welcoming Gala Dinner, which was held in Marini’s on 57, Malaysia’s highest rooftop bar, was a spledid celebration that brought together Ferrari owners from around th world through a mutual love of good food and drink. Tomorrow, the 3 Owners clubs will have a go at Corso Pilota, a track-day event which will teach them proper track driving methods. Stay tuned for our coverage of the event!
