Shell Gives Away Ultimate Car Engine Rejuvenation Experience at #LoveMyRide Festival
Five hundred lucky motorists enjoyed the ultimate engine rejuvenation experience for their cars at the “#LoveMyRide” Festival organised by Shell Malaysia Trading Sdn Bhd this weekend. This first-of-its-kind festival for car lovers, featuring the unbeatable combination of Shell Helix Ultra with PurePlus Technology and Shell V-Power Racing fuel, was held at the MARTRADE Exhibition and Convention Centre (MECC), Kuala Lumpur, on June 13 and 14 2015 from 10 in the morning till 7pm.
The lucky cars were selected from over a thousand online applications that were collected in the weeks leading up to the event and each of the 500 cars received a rejuvenation package worth upwards of RM600 from Shell Malaysia.
“We want those who have never tried Shell Helix Ultra with PurePlus Technology to really experience what a motor oil made from natural gas could do for a car engine. Imagine a motor oil so pure that it cleanses your car inside out. Combine that with Shell V-Power Racing’s innovative formula and you are all set for an optimum driving experience,” said Tuan Haji Azman Ismail, Managing Director of Shell Malaysia Trading Sdn Bhd.
At the event, Shell Malaysia attempted to set a record for the ‘most number of cars in a lubricant changing event in 12 hours with the Malaysia Book of Records. This feat will involve 100 student mechanics from Despark College and Shell Helix branded workshops; an estimated 6,000 litres of Shell Helix Ultra with PurePlus Technology fully synthetic engine oil and 15,000 litres of Shell V-Power Racing fuel.
This exclusive treatment entitled each of the 500 qualifying motorists to receive a complete engine oil change for their cars using Shell’s top-of-the-line 5W-40 fully synthetic motor oil – in fact it’s not only Shell’s most advanced motor oil, but also the first ever to be made from natural gas. The pure, synthetic base oil from natural gas delivers the highest levels of cleansing and protection based on industry standardised tests.
For further improved performance, each of the cars entered into the #LoveMyRide Festival drove away with a full tank of Shell V-Power Racing fuel. With its unique double-action formula, Shell V-Power Racing is designed to actively clean the engine and protect vital engine parts.
While waiting for their cars to undergo the ultimate rejuvenation package, participants got to join in the festivities at the MECC. There were tonnes of food trucks and stalls set up throughout and many fun games and activities for children and adults alike.
There were even exhibitions carried out by Shell’s partners in the motoring industry: Ferrari, BMW and Mazda.
