Goodyear Wins The Reader’s Digest Trusted Brand Award AGAIN
For the seventh consecutive year, Goodyear one of the world’s leading tire brands has been presented with a Reader’s Digest Trusted Brand award in Malaysia. The recognition is a strong testament to the quality products and services that Goodyear Malaysia delivers to consumers.
The Reader’s Digest Trusted Brand proprietary research study is recognized as one of the most represented and objective branding surveys in the region. Its aim is to highlight trusted brands which enjoy international appeal, yet at the same time uphold a strong local connection. In addition to cost, quality and desirability, trusted brands must capture consumer’s attention, maintain their confidence, and win over their trust by holding fast to the brand’s core principles.
“It is an honour for Goodyear Malaysia to be consistently recognised as a trusted industry leader by a credible source such as Reader’s Digest, and most importantly, by the consumers who voted for us,” said Claire Lim, Marketing Director at Goodyear Malaysia.
“At Goodyear Malaysia, our focus is on being first with our customers and delivering innovative tires and related services that they really want and need. Whether it is providing improved wet braking capabilities, delivering a higher level of tire durability, reducing noise, or increasing fuel savings—the focus is always on the consumer.
“The Reader’s Digest Trusted Brand award is a significant achievement for us and further demonstrates the success of our business in earning our customer’s trust and loyalty.
“Consumers can look forward to continuing to see Goodyear Malaysia roll out new tire technologies based on their needs and preferences—such as the recently launched Assurance DuraPlus, which is engineered to let drivers go up to 100,000km and comes reinforced with DuPont™ Kevlar® for added protection.” said Ms. Lim.
Now in its 17th year, the Reader’s Digest Trusted Brand awards are based on consumer feedback centred on six qualitative factors: trustworthiness and credibility, quality, value, understanding of consumer needs, innovation, and social responsibility. The survey for the awards is conducted by Ipsos, a globally respected research organization. It is carried out in five key markets across Asia (Malaysia, Hong Kong, Philippines, Singapore and Taiwan) to determine the brands most trusted by consumers in 42 different product and service categories.
In addition to being a trusted brand among consumers, Goodyear is also a trusted brand among many leading car manufacturers as a preferred original equipment supplier. As a leader in the original equipment segment, Goodyear Malaysia supplies to the majority of major car manufacturers and assemblers in the country, such as Honda, Volkswagen, Perodua, Inokom-Hyundai and Mazda, amongst others.
