Latest BMW 5-Series Spotted Testing, Heavily Camo-ed
Here’s some spy footage of the upcoming BMW 5-Series in heavy camouflage!
This 2016 5-Series will most likely be based on the same platform as the newly unveiled 7-Series. But compared to the outgoing model, this 5-Series will be a lot lighter, with a similar conservative design language as its bigger brother. A 1.5-litre 3-cylinder diesel is said to be the source of power behind the base model, while a 2.0-litre TwinPower Turbocharged four-pot petrol engine, and an electric drive with lithium-ion batteries are expected for a plug-in hybrid variant.
a 3.0-litre 6-cylnder is also planned, which is expected to produce 265hp and a whopping 620 Nm of torque as well as other 6-cylinder and V8 variants.
