BMW Motorsport has a successful second DTM season behind it since returning to the series last year. The BMW M3 DTM once again emphatically proved what it was capable of with five wins, twelve podiums, four pole positions and four fastest laps in 2013. No other DTM manufacturer enjoyed as many victories last season as BMW. After ten thrilling races, the Bavarian manufacturer repeated last year’s feat and emerged with the Manufacturers’ title to its name. In total, the eight BMW drivers scored 369 points. In the Team competition, BMW Team RBM ended the season in second place with 148 points. Augusto Farfus was the best-placed BMW representative in the Drivers’ Championship, finishing runner-up with 116 points. Marco Wittmann of BMW Team MTEK was recognised at the end of the season as the most successful DTM rookie.
