This third generation Honda Civic was introduced to the world by Honda in 1983 and it arrived in Malaysia just months after its global debut. However the top version of this Honda Civic, the Si (pictured here) only arrived via parallel importers closer to 1986.

Honda first adopted the Si badge for the Japanese domestic market (JDM) third-generation Civic in November 1984. Mainly offered in hatchback form, the main aesthetic difference for the Si was a slight bulge in the hood, which accommodated the taller DOHC engine and the rather sporty seats inside.
