Reasons Why We Don’t Want An Autonomous Car
The autonomous vehicle is designed with the dream to make the roads safer, provide better and equitable access for on-demand and door-to-door transport for everyone (including many that are seniors, disabled, too poor, too young, un-licensed etc.) and be much more efficient, sustainable and environmentally friendly than the current vehicle ownership.
Now a vehicle that satisfies that concept truly would be amazing, and be a game-changer. However………..we have a different view.
- Will detach the car owner from his vehicle.
- Will reduce the enjoyment of driving.
- Will remove the enthusiast’s fun to drive cars from the market.
- Will breed a new generation of people who are lifeless and living in their smart phone/tablet only.
- Will make me obsolete as a motoring journalist and avid car enthusiasts.
