Tesla Model X Electric SUV Unveiled By Elon Musk
The Tesla Model X is finally here and is the ONLY electric SUV on sale with limited numbers being delivered initially. Elon Musk has just taken off the covers of the highly awaited Tesla Model X SUV a few minutes ago. Six customers also had the privilege of being amongst the first customers to receive their all-electric SUV’s at the Tesla factory earlier today. The Model X powerplant delivers 762bhp with innovative styling inside and out and it is expected to surpass all safety ratings. The Tesla Model X comes equipped with a 90 kWh battery providing an impressive 250 miles of range. Power is split between the front and rear wheels with a total available 762bhp and 713 lb-ft of torque. The 0-60mph dash comes in at 3.2 seconds with a top speed of 155mph. Waiting list currently stands at 8-10 months and 20,000 consumers have already paid the USD5,000 deposit. So if you like this SUV, be prepared to stand in line.
Safety standards are high in the Tesla Every Model X where it carries a forward-looking camera, radar, and 360 degree sonar sensors to enable advanced autopilot features.The Model X will also be safest SUV in the market, achieving a 5 star rating in all categories, even surpassing 5 stars in some of those, with a calculated 6.5% of serious injury when in any serious accident according to Musk. The lack of an engine at the front of the car allows for a great crumple zone, protecting passengers from frontal intrusions in a head on collision.
