Porsche releases teaser video of 718 revival
It’s no news now that Porsche intends to bring back the 718- one of their historic mid-engine sports care models that saw some success on the racetrack. What we do know now is that the new models will be powered by turbocharged flat-four motors, based off of the 2.0-litre powerplant that propels the Porsche 919 Hybrid Le Mans car.
In any case, Porsche has released a teaser video to reinforce their point- that something big this way comes for the mid-engine pair. The Cayman has already had an exciting year with the GT4’s model launch and incredible reception from the public, but these new turbocharged motors could really redefine mid-engine motoring, in the way that the 911 has been redefined with it’s new turbocharged motors for the regular carrera variants.
