With Waze Planned Drives, Set It and Forget It
Following the successful release of version 4.0 back in October last year, Waze is proud to announce that version 4.3 is now live and available for download in the App store for all iOS users. This new update includes its latest feature, Planned Drives. Planned Drives takes the stress out of planning an appointment or important trip, whether it’s today or in the week ahead. Now you’ll always know when to go! Enter the time and date you need to arrive and Waze will recommend the best time to leave. You’ll also receive a reminder closer to your event with an updated departure time based upon real-time road conditions making it easier to manage your time and schedule to avoid traffic. Just set it and forget it!
To better maximise your free time, Planned Drives also offers a recommendation graph illustrating traffic peaks by hour for the next seven days – perfect for more flexible events like errands or departing on a road trip that can be done at the best time to avoid traffic. To calculate recommended departure times Waze continues to be at the forefront of innovation, taking into account expected traffic conditions based on smart algorithms, aggregated traffic history and predictive analysis.
Waze is all about enhancing your driving experience and Planned Drives not only answers the question of “When should I leave?” but sits alongside other organisational features such as Calendar Alerts and Send ETA making it even easier to manage your time and schedule. For the best experience, grant Waze access to your Calendar and/or Facebook so appointments and Facebook Events automatically become Planned Drives. Once you’re in the car, use Send ETA to alert friends or family you’re on the way!
Waze is the world’s largest community of drivers who work together to avoid traffic on the road and get to their destination safely. There is no one else in the marketplace operating with their service features and scale. Waze is always free, available in nearly 160 countries and 45 languages. Visit www.waze.com to download the app before your next journey, or even just the drive across town.
