30,000 Visitors Flocked to Art of Speed 2016
Last weekend’s Art of Speed (AOS) that was held at Malaysia Agro Exposition Park (MAEPS) in Serdang received about 30,000 visitors including international visitors from the United States, Japan, Australia, Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, Brunei as well as the Philippines.
The event famous for its lifestyle automotive show, customised cars and bikes show, art gallery, interactive activities and even stunt show featured some big names in the modification scene. Skateboard legend, Steve Caballero also made his first appearance in Malaysia.
The weekend saw more than 200 bikes and cars displayed in two separate halls. These include classic and modern vehicles such as two customised Harley-Davidsons and a Chevrolet Malibu “Hopping Lowrider” that was exclusively shipped all the way from Japan.
Visitors were also treated to stunt demos including superbike stunts by Aaron Twite from the US. A number of lucky visitors also had the chance to experience a taxi ride in a drift car with none other than our own Prince of Drift Tengku Djan Ley behind the wheel.
Additionally, art enthusiasts were also presented with artworks by international and local artists. These include the MotoCircus art gallery that offers the pinstriping and lettering services to visitors, and Painthead Asia that used helmets sponsored by Beetle Helmet as the medium. Each helmet designed were sold through a “silent auction” with 100% of the proceeds donated to the artists involved.
There was also a marketplace where families could shop from over 300 international and local brands including Vans and Hot Wheels. A lucky draw held saw a visitor riding home with a new 2016 Triumph Bonneville Street Twin.
