Volkswagen Malaysia and Nana Mahazan Support Child Safety Cause with Online Contest
Volkswagen Malaysia and local celebrity Nana Mahazan today presented a Volkswagen child seat to Ms Hafikah Tarmizi, winner of the “Nana VW Giveaway” Instagram contest.
The contest, ran by Nana through her Instagram account, was part of a collaboration with Volkswagen Malaysia to raise awareness on the importance of child safety. Nana had also recently starred in a Volkswagen child seat safety video under this collaboration.
This initiative was one of many activities held by Volkswagen Malaysia, as part of their long-term commitment to highlight the importance of child safety in Malaysia. Hafikah, 25 years old from Kuala Selangor, received the Volkswagen child seat (G1 ISOFIX DUO Plus Top Tether), which is suitable for infants and toddlers weighing between 9 -18kg.
Fully imported from Germany, the Volkswagen child seat is worth RM1,700.
“Child seat safety shouldn’t be taken lightly, and I learnt this the hard way when we got into an accident when my baby was only three months old, sitting on my lap in the front seat. We really need to make an effort to ensure they are safely fastened in the car. This gift could not have been timelier as we will be driving home this Raya, so thank you Volkswagen Malaysia and Nana Mahazan,” said Hafikah.
For the “Nana VW Giveaway” Instagram contest, parents were invited to submit a picture together with their children, and complete a slogan. The contest ran from 25 June till 30 June, and garnered over 200 entries from participants nationwide.
