Naza Quest Sdn Bhd, the official sole importer and distributor of Chevrolet vehicles in Malaysia, today announces that The All-New Chevrolet Colorado is now open for booking at all Chevrolet authorised dealers nationwide.
The All-New Colorado is the latest model in Chevrolet’s great truck lineage, the second-gen facelifted Chevrolet Colorado first made its preview debut early September this year at Chevrolet display area in Naza Automall during the recent Naza Merdeka Auto Fair 2016. The regional launch of the new Colorado pickup then took place in Cebu Philippines a week after, along with the new Trailblazer SUV with presence of selected media from each SEA region.
Staying true to its tagline ‘More Than Just A Truck’, this premium American 4-door truck projects tough and capable features, built for those who seek adventure and adrenaline challenges. With superb engine performance, excellent handling and serious off-road capability, the All-New Colorado indeed is ready to conquer every terrain with you whilst maintaining its refined design of tough yet sophisticated appearance making it an ideal truck for work and play.
The Colorado will go on sale with two engines to choose from and in five different variants exclusively for the Malaysian market. Colour schemes ranges from Summit White, Black Meet Kettle, Switchblade Silver also with two new colour addition including the striking Pull Me Over Red and the more subtle Blue Mountain. The All-New Colorado also benefits all as Naza Quest Sdn Bhd now offers standard 5 Years/200,000km manufacturer warranty.
TOUGH AND REFINED DESIGN
The All-New Colorado’s look is none other than mighty tough, in addition to its new exterior design, the truck’s appearance is now more refined than ever with more angular lines and strong proportions – a nod to its American truck DNA.
The most obvious exterior enhancement would be the new LED Daytime Running Auto Headlamps with Follow Me Home System. The eye catching new headlamp designed with a glass tube type (Tube LED) LED daytime running lights further add to the premium styling of the vehicle. What’s more, these newly headlamps are also equipped with follow me home system, an enhanced passive safety feature – a delay function which keeps the headlamps on for a scheduled preferred time even after the ignition is turned off.
DRIVING PERFORMANCE
The All-New Colorado comes in 3 different engine variants – 2.5L Duramax Turbo-diesel Fix Geometry Turbocharger (FGT), 2.8L Duramax Turbo-diesel Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VGT) and the all-new 2.5 Duramax Turbo-diesel Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VGT). Depending on the variants, the All-New Colorado gets both automatic and manual 6-speed transmission which has been tuned to offer better performance, improved fuel economy and lower emissions. The upgraded 2.5L Duramax four- cylinder turbo-diesel FGT produces 120kW (163hp) of power and 380Nm of torque, while the higher specs of 2.5L & 2.8L Duramax four-cylinder turbo-diesel VGT produces 132kW (180hp)/440Nm and 147kW (193hp)/500Nm each, making the Colorado most powerful in its segment.
COMFORTABLE RIDE AND PLEASURABLE DRIVING EXPERIENCE
Beyond its outstanding performance, The All-New Colorado offers convenience and advantages making driving and travelling a pleasurable experience. The Remote Engine Start function is available to the Colorado and is the first pickup truck in its segment to have this feature. The remote-start system is especially useful in Malaysia with its hot and humid weather when the engine can be started using the key fob, allowing the cabin to be cooled sufficiently before occupants get into the vehicle. The said remote key also comes with immobilizer system that safeguards your vehicle and the vehicle remains locked when remote engine start is activated.
The All-New Colorado also comes with Electric Power Steering (EPS) which allows effortless control over the vehicle both at high and low speeds while creating more responsive steering feel at the same time. In other words, the steering is light at low speeds and will weigh more at high speed.
Other features that raises the comfort level of The All-New Colorado is Comfort Closing Windows. When the vehicle is opened or locked, the front windows automatically drop a fraction to facilitate door closing by reducing noise and shut softly.
Parking is now made easier with the Front and Rear Park Assist with eight points ultrasonic sensors from the front to rear bumper. Driver is alerted to unseen obstacles with its built-in rear vision camera and audio sensor alert when moving in tight spaces.
UNPARALLELED CONNECTIVITY
The makers of the American pickup truck understands the importance of staying connected through technology. Knowing that connectivity is critical to today’s driver, The All-New Colorado is the first in its segment to come with Apple CarPlayTM applications with Siri Eye Free feature. The Apple CarPlayTM allows intelligent functions such as phone screen mirroring, drivers may now able to project a simplified version of their smartphone screen onto the truck’s infotainment system colour touchscreen.
Complemented by Siri Eyes Free and voice recognition software, allowing drivers to give verbal commands ensuring their hands never have to leave the steering wheel for a safer journey. This system also enables the new Colorado to support the driver’s lifestyle.
ADVANCED ACTIVE AND PASSIVE SAFETY
All Chevrolet Colorado is awarded with ANCAP & ASEAN NCAP 5 star rating, thus making The All-New Colorado one of the safest pickup truck in the industry. With wide range of new active safety features, this highly advance pickup truck introduces Lane Departure Warning (LDW) where it helps in alerting drivers when unintentionally drifting out of their lane without a turn signal at a given speed.
Another safety features would be the Forward Collision Alert (FCA). Should the distance between the drivers to vehicle ahead goes beyond the warning level, driver will be alerted with both audible and visual alerts to a potential crash risk via the instrument cluster.
The All-New Colorado also comes equipped with Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). TPMS’s main function is to alert the driver of the tire pressure abnormalities in each of the 4 wheels for peace-of-mind while on the road.
