Piaggio Vietnam Gets a New General Director
Piaggio Vietnam proudly announces the new appointment of Mr. Gianluca Fiume as Chairman & General Director of Piaggio Vietnam cum Executive Vice President of Asia Pacific 2 Wheeler. This new appointment is consistent with the Group strategy to strengthen and consolidate its Asia operations.
Mr. Gianluca Fiume joined Piaggio Group since 2008 as Head of 2-Wheeler Domestic Europe. In 2014, he was promoted to be responsible for both Europe and Emerging Markets and Importers. There, he achieved solid commercial success and implemented the innovative distribution concept MOTOPLEX, in line with the Group strategic goals. His successful leadership in European markets has indicated him as the most relevant candidate to take over the responsibility of Asia Pacific region, identified as the key driver to Piaggio Group’s global growth strategy.
Prior to joining Piaggio Group, he had significant experience in sales area in Benetton Group as Area Manager Middle East and Africa from 1995 – 2001. Thereafter he joined Beretta Company in 2001 where he was Sales Director.
Mr. Gianluca Fiume comes from Bolzano, located in the North of Italy. He began his professional career in media industry in 1993 after graduating in Economics.
Mr. Fiume is enthusiastic to join the Piaggio Asia Pacific organization. He is bringing his extensive experience in sales, business development and retail at multinational level, along with his forward-thinking management and ambition into one of the key production and commercial hubs of Piaggio Group.
