New Honda Jazz Petrol Exceeds Monthly Sales Target Within 2 Weeks of Launch

Honda Malaysia today announced that the New Jazz Petrol has received over 1,300 bookings within 2 weeks of its official launch, which exceeds its one month sales target of 1,200 units.
The E variant of the New Jazz Petrol received the highest number of booking which is close to 40% from the total bookings collected, while the V variant is at 32% and S variant at 28%.

The highest numbers of bookings were collected in Klang Valley region at 42% from the total number of bookings received. Other regions also recorded an impressive booking collection namely the Southern region with 21% of total bookings, Northern region with 18% of total bookings and both East Coast and East Malaysia recorded 13% and 6% of total bookings respectively. Modern Steel Metallic is the colour in demand for New Jazz Petrol followed by Lunar Silver Metallic and the model has been attracting upgraders, young executives and second vehicle purchasers.

The New Jazz Hybrid which was launched together with the New Jazz Petrol has also received positive feedback and enquiries from many Malaysians. The only Hybrid model priced below RM90,000, Malaysians were privileged to be the first country outside of Japan to receive the New Jazz Hybrid. Delivery of the New Jazz Hybrid to customers will begin by end of July 2017. Honda Malaysia will ensure that production meets the delivery timeline for Jazz Petrol and Hybrid with 1 month of waiting period without compromising on its quality.

Meanwhile, customers are welcome to visit Honda dealers in every state to experience and test drive Honda’s New Jazz Hybrid for themselves beginning 3rd week of July 2017.

The New Jazz Hybrid is powered by a new 1.5L DOHC i-VTEC engine combining 7-Speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) with Integrated High Power Motor to deliver excellent acceleration for a sportier driving experience. The New Hybrid System’s Lithium-Ion battery produces 1.5 times its energy capacity, making it 50% more powerful while being more compact in size compared to its predecessor, the Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) system. The Jazz Hybrid is currently one the most popular Hybrid model in Japan having sold more than 660,000 units. This model is a testament of Honda Malaysia’s commitment to ensure the Joy of Buying and the Joy of driving a Honda vehicle equipped with class leading advanced technologies and powerful performance.

Equally impressive, the New Jazz Petrol is powered by a 1.5L i-VTEC engine coupled with Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT) which was developed under the Honda Earth Dreams Technology. This combination of powertrain is set to provide a fuel-efficient, fun and smooth driving experience.
The New Jazz Petrol also received extensive enhancements such as New Chrome Front Grille, New Front and Rear Bumper Design, Push Start Button and Smart Entry, and ECON button which are standard across all variants. The Dual Tone Colour Alloy Wheel will be offered for V variant, while the LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL) and Reverse Camera are available for both E and V variants.

The Paddle Shift and Cruise Control will be offered in V variant for smoother and hassle-free driving experience. Apart from that, Half-Leather seats are also available in the V variant for a comfortable ride in the vehicle. Both the E and V variants will carry the new 6.8” Display Audio with the E variant receiving an additional upgrade to Touch Panel Auto Air-Conditioning.

Both the New Jazz Petrol and Hybrid also retains its most iconic feature, the ULTRA Seats. Honda engineers have cleverly designed for the Intelligent Power Unit (IPU) to be placed underneath the cargo space allowing the Jazz Hybrid to retain its ULTRA Seats. The versatility of its 4 modes (Utility, Long, Tall and Refresh) provides customers with the convenience for space maximisation without compromising comfort in the vehicle. The different modes are good to be used at different times such as long distance travelling, city driving, family getaways and more.

Carrying a 5-Star ASEAN NCAP safety rating, the New Jazz Petrol impresses with class-leading safety features. The Brake Assist (BA) and Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) are available across all variants. The E and Hybrid variant received an upgrade to 4 Airbags and the V variant maintains its 6 Airbag. Both E, V and Hybrid variant are equipped with the Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) and Hill Start Assist (HSA) to ensure a worry-free drive.
