A used Mercedes Benz might not be that good a bargain today
There are a number of small business individuals who are looking for a used executive car to suit their professional image. For many years the No 1 choice for these demographic of buyers has been Mercedes Benz cars. Whether used or new, the 3-pointed star was the default choice of many enterprising small business owners who struggled to make payments on their used Benz to ensure their clients looked towards them with extended confidence.
With big business owners always first with the latest versions, used older Benz cars fell in the hands of smaller business owners who would take years to own a new one. Some of
these used Benz’s were reasonably cheap to maintain however as more sophisticated models came into the market their running costs went skyward with increased electronics. Today a used W211 E200 15-year-old Benz is not cheap to maintain like the early W126 and W124 Mercedes Benz.
Its selling price might hover between RM38,000 to RM55,000 which seems like a bargain for the amount of luxury and engineering you are getting, but all this German engineering costs money to fix, replace and have running smoothly. So be careful when looking at just the 3 pointed star and its used asking price…..its not that cheap to keep it running month after month.
